Clear downtrend
July brought many fears and doubts to Poles. The continuous increase in inflation and prices on store shelves increasingly contributes to the deepening of negative opinions, especially those related to the Polish economy. In the last week, this thread, which is constantly present this year, was very clearly joined by the concern about the imminent shortage of coal in the fall and winter season, and there were also signals about limits on the purchase of sugar in popular retail chains. These problems, which concern every Pole, affect the quality of everyday life in Poland - so they were reflected in a significant deterioration of social mood.
It is worth noting that it is often people with neutral views (such as those who answer "the same" in the case of a forecast of the country's economic situation) who change their opinion into a negative one. Thus, it was people who hesitated so far that largely contributed to the fact that the indicators of the perception of the economic situation of the country and the assessment of the financial condition of households obtained a very low value. The Kantar Consumer Index has not been so low since April 2002.
